We are not Home Inspectors. We are only pinpointing the potential problems so that they can be fixed.
Using three non-invasive tools to find what you cannot see. Infrared Cameras/ Moisture Meters and UV Light.
What we are looking for is Moisture Detection and Prevention, Energy Efficiency Evaluation, Electrical System scans, Roof scans, and Interior and Exterior Component Scans- Floors/ Ceilings/ Walls/ Roofs/ Plumbing/ Doors
Our motto is “WE SEE THINGS YOU CAN’T”
These scans will identify any anomalies or areas that require attention.
We are not there to fix anything, because it would be a conflict of interest. We will send you a report highlighting the problem areas, so that you can share it with the contractor.
During a flooring inspection, we once noticed a hot spot on the wall. When we put our ears to the wall, we could hear a buzzing sound and discovered that there was a beehive inside the wall. The child in that room happened to be allergic to bees, and they removed the hive, preempting a doctor’s visit or worse.
We were recently hired to determine the cause of a shower leak. Using infrared thermography, we identified moisture in the floor that was seeping in through the walls. It was an old repair done to the plumbing. The picture at the bottom right matched exactly where the builder had done the repairs 1.5 years previously. Our scan helped the homeowner resolve a longstanding dispute with their builder over their new house. The bottom right picture shows the moisture coming through the brick.
While conducting a flooring inspection to address a suspected moisture issue, we identified the leak as originating from a shower located at the back of the house. As we turned on the hot water, you could visibly see the heat signature of the water flowing under the wood. The water followed the trowel marks of the glue under the wood. The company that installed the wood was not liable for the shower leak.
